- Enter the end time (e.g., 15:00)
- Optionally, select the workplace if the employee works at multiple locations
- Click "Save"
Split shifts
Many hospitality employees work split shifts:
- Create the shift with hours for the first block (e.g., 10:00 - 15:00)
- Add a second block by clicking "Add block" or the "+" button
- Enter the hours for the second block (e.g., 19:00 - 23:00)
- Save the shift
Result: a split shift 10:00-15:00 / 19:00-23:00 (9 total hours)
Editing an existing shift
- Click on the shift in the grid
- The form opens with current data
- Modify hours or other fields
- Click "Save"
Deleting a shift
- Open the shift by clicking on it
- Click "Delete" or the trash icon
- Confirm deletion
Contracted vs scheduled hours
Zeus Manager continuously compares:
- Contracted hours: what the employee's contract specifies (e.g., 40h/week)
- Scheduled hours: what you've actually assigned
This helps you detect excess or deficit hours, comply with labor regulations, and manage the hours bank correctly.
Assigning a workplace
If your organization has multiple locations, you can specify which workplace the employee works at each day. Useful when employees rotate between locations.
