Auto-assign Tables

The auto-assign feature optimally distributes all unassigned reservations for a day or shift, considering capacity, availability and table combinations.

How it works

1. Go to the Reservation Book and select the day
2. Click the Auto-assign tables button (available in floor plan view)
3. The system will analyze all unassigned reservations for the selected shift
4. It will assign the best available table to each reservation

Assignment criteria

• Table capacity: Finds tables closest to party size
• Time slots: Avoids overlaps based on estimated duration
• Predefined combinations: Uses configured table combinations if needed
• Guest preferences: Respects preferred tables when possible
• Time priority: Earlier reservations are assigned first
